Prerequisites

• Announcements - View, Announcements - Add, Announcements - Edit, and Announcements - Delete privileges

Announcements are messages or general information that is displayed to the users when they log into N4 or N4 CAP.

In N4

The Announcements view displays the announcements that exist at the current scope level. You can add new announcements, edit, or delete existing announcements from this view.

You can add an announcement at the complex level or at the facility level. In addition, you can specify whether the announcement is applicable to only N4, only N4 CAP, or both.

If you log in at the Global or Operator scope level, the Announcements menu is available under the Administration Security menu. For more information on logging at a particular scope level, see Selecting a scope level.

You can also publish announcements on the gate tickets. For more information, see How do I publish announcements on a Gate ticket (on page 1).

In N4 CAP

When you access this view from N4 CAP you cannot add or edit any announcements. You can only view the announcements relevant to your login. If you belong to a specific business group and you log into N4 CAP, you can view the announcements only for the line operators and/or trucking companies associated with your business group. For more information on business groups, see Business Groups view.

To add a new record:

To edit or delete a record:

1. In the list view, select the record(s) that you want to edit or delete.

2. Do one of the following:

• Click to edit a selected record.

• Click to delete the selected record(s).
